Data we collect

Data stored locally on your device

TabWars stores the following data locally using Chrome's storage API. This data never leaves your device:

• Your saved fleet sessions — the tab names and URLs you choose to save
• Extension settings and preferences (theme, suspender settings, whitelist)
• Your Pro license key — if you have one
• Lifetime usage statistics (tabs recovered, RAM freed etc.)
• Tab activity timestamps used by the Idle Suspender
• Tab recovery snapshots — a record of recently open tabs

None of this data is transmitted to any server, ever.

Third-party services

Lemon Squeezy — TabWars uses Lemon Squeezy solely to process Pro plan payments. When you purchase a Pro plan, Lemon Squeezy processes your payment and issues a license key. TabWars receives only the license key — no payment details are ever stored in the extension. When validating your license, the extension sends only your license key to Lemon Squeezy's public API. Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy is available at lemonsqueezy.com.

DuckDuckGo Favicon API — The suspended tab page uses DuckDuckGo's favicon service to display website icons. Only the domain name of the suspended website is sent to DuckDuckGo — no personal data, no browsing history.

No other third-party services are used. No Google Analytics. No Facebook Pixel. No advertising networks. No data brokers.

Analytics and tracking

TabWars contains no analytics code, no tracking pixels, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party data collection of any kind.

We have no way of knowing how many people use TabWars, which features they use, or where they are located. This is intentional.

Data deletion

The most reliable way to remove all TabWars data is to uninstall the extension via chrome://extensions. This removes everything — fleets, settings, stats, and license key.

Clearing browser data in Chrome settings works differently depending on what you clear:

• Cookies and Site Data — may remove some TabWars data but is not guaranteed to remove all of it. Results vary by Chrome version.
• Browsing History — removes your web history only. Does not affect TabWars data.
• Cache — removes cached files only. Does not affect TabWars data.

If you want to fully reset TabWars, uninstalling and reinstalling the extension is the only guaranteed method.

Your Pro purchase is always safe with Lemon Squeezy regardless of what you clear. Re-enter your license key after reinstalling to reactivate instantly.

We recommend exporting your fleets regularly as a backup using the Export JSON button in the Fleets tab.

Children's privacy

TabWars does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. As we collect no data at all, there is nothing additional to disclose regarding children's privacy.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page and note the changes on tabwars.com. We will never introduce data collection without clearly disclosing it here first.
